Fish Point Interpretive Panel Public Meeting
The public is invited to attend the Fish Point Interpretive Panel Project Discussion and Information Session at the Yarmouth County Museum starting at 7:00 p.m. Light refreshments to follow. Come see what all the fuss is about!

50th anniversary week

The Yarmouth County Museum is celebrating 50 years at our current Collins Street location with activities from June 9th to the 15th!

June 9th: Opening of the anniversary week with a Scavenger hunt around town, cake, and an exhibit showcasing the past and present of the museum

-          Scavenger Hunt from 11am to 1pm

-          Opening ceremonies starting at 1pm

June 10th: 2pm - The launch of our new online gift shop.

                 7pm- Trivia Night. Come test your skills on a variety of topics. 

June 11th: 9am - Opening of Sailing at the Museum. Are you a pirate or a cabin boy? Test your nautical skills with escape room type puzzles to determine what kind of sailor you are. 

June 12th: 7pm - Presentation on local historical fashion with the museum’s Costume Chair, Susan Winship. 

June 13th: 7pm - Presentation by Curator Emeritus, Eric Ruff, on his favourite articles and life at the museum during his career starting from the 1970s. 

June 14th: Summer student reunion. There have been many students who have worked at the museum and archives throughout the years and we’d love to have them join us for a BBQ and a walk down memory lane. 

June 15th: 9pm-12am- Celebration Dance featuring the music of Hourglass. Come celebrate the Yarmouth County Museum’s 50 years and toast many more years of preserving Yarmouth’s history. Location: Yarmouth Golf Course
